Topnote is where people who layer fragrance decide what to wear with what they own.

The app is built around recipes: a person writes down how they combine two to four scents — which goes on first, how many sprays of each, and where — and other people rate it. Everyone keeps a shelf of the bottles they own, so the app can say which recipes they can make tonight, and every fragrance page suggests the others that layer well with it and explains why.

The people on Topnote own several bottles and combine them on purpose. If you make or market fragrance and would like to talk to us, write to us. The app shows no advertising today and nothing on this page is for sale; we would simply like to hear from you.

Topnote is made by Sterling Goods Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (number 14253296), in London. The app is in testing in the United Kingdom and the United States.
