Deleting your Topnote account
You can delete your Topnote account yourself, in the app, at any time. It happens immediately and cannot be undone.
In the app
- Open Topnote and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete my account.
You are signed out everywhere, and the account is gone.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app, email support@topnoteshelf.app from the address you signed in with and ask us to delete your account. We check that the request comes from the account’s owner, delete it, and tell you. We reply within one month, as the privacy policy says.
What is deleted
Straight away: your profile and handle, your shelf, your wishlist, the recipes you saved, your ratings, your comments, your fragrance requests, your feedback, your notifications and notification settings, your push tokens, and your record of agreeing or declining “From your shelf”.
What is kept, and for how long
- Recipes other people have rated or saved stay published, reattributed to “[deleted]”, with nothing that identifies you — so other people do not lose combinations they saved. Recipes nobody has rated or saved are deleted with everything else.
- Moderation records about content that was reported are kept for 12 months after the report is resolved, so we can meet our online-safety obligations, then deleted (section 5 of the privacy policy).
- Crash reports are kept by Sentry for up to 90 days, then deleted. They are not linked to your account.
- Server logs kept by our hosting provider for 7 days, as section 3 of the privacy policy describes.
